The Arizona Career & Educational Guide will assist students with the career development process, so they can explore who they are; what's out there and make informed decisions about postsecondary and career choices. This guide provides information on Arizona labor market information, Career Pathways, student organizations, Tech Prep, financial aid, resumes, interviewing, occupations, contact information for various state agencies and so much more. The guide can be downloaded, by clicking on the title, so that you can print a copy and make reproducible for your school or state agency.
The Arizona Career & Educational Teacher's Guide is a supplemental tool for the Arizona Career & Educational Guide. Educators will find lesson plans that can be utilized in the classroom. Both Guides can be downloaded, by clicking on the title, so that educators can make reproducible copies for their students.
The Arizona Career Information System (AzCIS) is a comprehensive career information delivery system that provides students, teachers, parents and counselors the following occupational and educational information via the Internet, windows and Macintosh: Assessments, postsecondary school search, financial aid and scholarship searches, school comparisons, school letter writer too, job search tools, tips on good job habits, military and self-employment information , learning activities, occupational video clips, real world interviews and an electronic portfolio. AzCIS Online curriculum and learning activities provide lesson plans for students to understand how academics fit into the Real World by demonstrating how they are used various occupations. All elementary, secondary and post secondary schools, workforce Connection Centers, Vocational Rehabilitation offices, and libraries should have access to the system. Students are encouraged to use the free system at home with their parents.
The Real Game is a series of interactive, role playing, career exploration programs that teach life and work experiences to youth and adults in an entertaining game format. Arizona Academic standards, the National Career Development Guidelines, the American School Counselor Association and SCANS have been linked to every lesson plans in all six of the curricula. Dial 7-1-1 to tap into a huge labor market
Employers – Arizona Relay Services (AZRS) is your communications bridge to the deaf and hard of hearing people in Arizona. This service uses highly trained operators to facilitate communication between hearing people (using a voice telephone) and deaf/hard of hearing people (using a text telephone or TTY). The AZRS is simple to reach – just dial 7-1-1, and the relay operator will assist with placing your call. AZRS is available at no cost, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
